Since it's watermelon season!

My grandfather used to grow watermelons, among other things, and he told me about most of this, especially the orange spot. Those are the absolute best!

A series of rough line doodles featuring bounty hunter Eclipse and OP's self insert Aster (he/ she pronouns). In all appearances, Aster wears Eclipse's bell and Eclipse wears a tie with an embroidered star. Eclipse is sitting on the couch, reading a book. Aster picks something up from behind the couch, looking down with a neutral expression. He asks "Percussive maintenance is still maintenance, right?" Eclipse, without looking up, retorts "Put the squeaky hammer down, Star."

Aster raises a comically large hammer with both hands, eyes turned to sparks and mouth a wide cat like grin. Eclipse looks up but straight ahead, Aster at his back, unimpressed.

Aster hits Eclipse's top ray with the hammer, causing it to puncture and deflate as it makes "sad balloon noises". Aster says with a disappointed expression "Ahw man :(". Eclipse's face is reduced to comically large eyes, one of which is twitching, and a small, closed mouth smile.

Aster is shown from the back, holding the still deflating hammer in one hand. His expression isn't visible, but she says "uh oh" while Eclipse turns on the couch. He has one arm on the backrest, and his face is dark except for yellow sparks for eyes.

Aster makes a run for it, sweating awkwardly and looking towards the ground. His legs are shown as spirals kicking up wind. Eclipse climbs over the backrest of the couch, eyes dark and large, already reaching for Aster with a menacing aura.

Aster is shown running, two eye sparks and a hand reaching for her behind him, brows furrowed with an ellipsis next to him as he thinks. Then, Aster suddenly stops and crouches down low to curl up into a ball.

Eclipse trips over Aster, who is depicted as a large, sweating beach ball with a star on it and googly eyes looking up. His own eyes are bulging as he falls.

Aster sits on the ground, legs outstretched and propped up on his arms, with a blank expression. Eclipse is half kneeling half crouching, holding onto one raised knee as he looks back at Aster with angry googly eyes.

Aster is virtually unchanged, except his mouth is now wide open to unleash a "Wilhelm scream". Eclipse turns, eyes again sparks, and reaches for her.

A cut to Aster, wrapped in a blanket burrito, sitting on Eclipse's lap, "contained for squeaky hammer crimes". Eclipse digs his fingers into the fabric of the blanket, glaring down at Aster with narrow eyes and popping a vein. Aster sheepishly looks away and to the side, and states "We need to stop meeting like this." Eclipse replies "Brilliant idea, little worm." ["Brilliant" is underlined]

Reader meeting the family and trying so SO hard to be normal about it. Meeting family, being surrounded by demonic Cryptids? How are they suppose to keep it together under these conditions? It’s like their best n worst nightmare all rolled into one. They didn’t bring their journal to be polite n now they have to mentally tag every detail of five cryptids in their head

Also as a bonus I added to the line up of the designs. The only one I missed was Roxy but only cuz she’s essentially a werewolf design covered in a bunch of human eyes n my tablet was dying before I could get to it.
